Mumbai, India – India has reached an agreement with
BlackBerry maker Research in Motion (RIM) (NASD: RIMM) that will head off a ban on the
service scheduled to take effect at the end of October. Similar to a deal RIM
struck with the United Arab Emirates, the company will provide the Indian
government with means of lawfully intercepting BlackBerry traffic.
