Singapore – Mobile social networking service mig33 announced
that it has raised $8.9 million in its third round of venture capital
financing.

The round was led by Indonesian telecom entrepreneur Pak Sugiono
Wiyono and Japanese social network GREE; previous backers Accel Partners,
Redpoint Ventures and DCM also participated.

Launched in 2005, Singapore-based
mig33 counts more than 40 million members for its service, which is available
worldwide and supported on over 2,000 handsets.

The company has now raised a
total of $34 million to date.
