New York – Pixable, a developer of digital photo
applications, has raised $2.5 million in new funding from Highland Capital,
VentureBeat reported.

New York-based Pixable offers a range of photo-related tools,
such as one that lets users compile online photos from Facebook and other
sources into a printed photo album, and another that lets users compile online
photos from disparate sources into an embeddable video slideshow.

The company is
also developing tools for photo organization, and a means of finding Facebook
photos of friends where tags have been removed.
