Los Angeles – LimeWire, the peer-to-peer service ordered
shut down by a federal judge in October, has announced plans to shutter its
legal music store, and abandoned its goal of building a new, legal file-sharing
service, All Things D reported. The website for the company’s music store
indicates it is no longer accepting new payments from customers, while sources
told All Things D the company shelved its year-long effort to build a legal
service.
