New York – Netflix (NASD: NFLX) is offering studios that produce
television programming for the networks as much as $70,000-$100,000 per episode,
for access to current episodes of primetime shows for its Instant Streaming
service, the N.Y. Post reported, citing a person familiar with the matter. The
company recently launched a $7.99 "streaming only" version of its
service in the U.S., which includes no DVD rentals but offers unlimited access
to the TV episode and movie streaming feature.
