New York – Scanbuy, the provider of a mobile barcode reader
application, announced on Wednesday that it has raised $5 million in new
financing, from Motorola Solutions Venture Capital, Hudson Ventures and
existing private investors.
New York-based Scanbuy says its ScanLife mobile app has been
downloaded to over 35 million devices.
The app lets users take a photo of a
barcode and receive local product pricing information, coupons and links to
purchases.
Clients include Home Depot, Miller/Coors and Bloomingdale’s.
