Beijing – Chinese online game developer Changyou.com
announced on Monday that it has acquired a majority stake in fellow developer
7Road for $68.3 million.
The deal includes additional potential
performance-based payments of $32.8 million.
7Road has developed titles such as
"DDTan," which counts 350,000 peak concurrent players.
Changyou,
which was spun-off from portal Sohu.com in 2009, said the deal accelerates its
position in China’s online games industry and adds a new category of games to
its growing product portfolio.
