London – Coversocial, a U.K.-based provider of social media management tools, said it has raised $2.4 million in a first round of financing, led by DFJ Esprit.

Launched in July 2010, Conversocial helps companies increase engagement and manage interactions with customers on services including Facebook and Twitter.

Customers include ITV, Mediacom, Tupperware and Groupon.
