Redmond, Wash. – Nintendo said on Tuesday that it will discount the price of its Nintendo DS Lite handheld game system from $129 to $99 in the U.S., effective June 5.
The company said it has to date sold more than 48.9 million units in the DS family in the U.S.
Nintendo is also expected to soon end production of the DS Lite, which debuted in 2006.
