Los Angeles – Comedian Dave Chappelle, who abruptly left his top-rated cable TV franchise “Chappelle’s Show” in 2005 during its third season, is planning to launch a new show on a paid online subscription service, The Daily reports.

“It’s not for a network. It’s for Netflix or Crackle or some other subscription service,” according to The Daily’s source.

Since leaving his show and returning from a subsequent sabbatical in South Africa, Chappelle has been testing the waters with cameo stand-up performances at various clubs.

The report did not contain any additional information on the purported Web show in the works.
