CBS Interactive released a free iPad app promoting its five new programs, making CBS the first broadcast network to use the platform in this way. The app includes cast bios, photos, interviews, social media interaction options and a basic memory game, along with the entire CBS fall schedule that the user can integrate into a personal calendar.
Pauley Perrett, who stars in CBS’ smash hit series NCIS as forensic science genius Abby Sciuto, is the host of the experience. She guides users to discover the dramas Unforgettable, Person of Interest and A Gifted Man, and the comedies 2 Broke Girls and How to Be a Gentleman.
In addition to standing on its own, the network intends the app to be a second-screen companion to the CBS Fall Preview primetime special that will air on Sept. 8, hosted by Johnny Galecki, Jim Parsons, Kaley Cuoco, Simon Helberg and Kunal Nayyar, stars of the comedy favorite The Big Bang Theory.
