Cupertino, Calif. – Less than one year after launching its Mac App Store, Cupertino, Calif.-based Apple said on Monday that customers now have downloaded more than 100 million apps.

The store, modeled after the company’s wildly successful App Store for iOS mobile devices, lets Mac users purchase apps through their iTunes accounts.

Mac developers set the prices for their apps, and keep 70 percent of the sales revenue.
