Mountain View, Calif. – Soasta, the Mountain View, Calif.-based developer of a cloud-based platform for testing the performance of web and mobile applications, said on Monday it has secured $12 million in a new round of funding, led by The Entrepreneurs’ Fund.

Previous backers Canaan Partners, Formative Ventures and Pelion Venture Partners also participated in the round, which the company will use to accelerate international expansion and bolster its position in the mobile testing market.

Soasta introduced its CloudTest platform in 2008, and its customer base recently eclipsed 3,000. Clients include American Girl, Chegg, Gilt Groupe, Hallmark, Intuit, Microsoft and Netflix.
