Entrepreneur and HDNet founder Mark Cuban has led a $1.2 million round of investment in Switchcam, a startup that weaves together video of an event shot from multiple sources and camera angles into a single program.

Turner MediaCamp, 500 Startups, Vikas Gupta, David Beyer, Jeffrey Schox, Niket Desai and Reed Morse also participated in the seed round.

Switchcam said it will use the fund to add more developers to its team and to work more closely with organizers of concerts, conferences and other live events.

Its recently-announced participation in Media Camp, a media technology-focused accelerator program that’s part of Time Warner company Turner Broadcasting, should help Switchcam in that regard.
