The official mobile game of the London 2012 Olympic Games, from developer and publisher Neowiz, is available now in eight languages for both Android and Apple’s iOS.
Contestants represent their country and vie for trophies with customized avatar athletes who must train and improve to be good enough to be part of the XXX Olympiad.
Players can choose from nine events, including archery, hurdles, swimming and kayak, and can select one of three different modes: train, compete, and challenge either a personal best or a Facebook friend.
London 2012 – Official Mobile Game (yes, that cumbersome handle is its actual name) is free to download and play, but there’s also a $2.99 version that comes with 5,000 of the in-game currency.
All official Olympics interactive entertainment software is overseen by ISM on behalf of the International Olympic Committee.
