Cambridge, Mass. – Backupify, a Cambridge-based provider of online backup services for cloud application data, announced on Wednesday it has raised $9 million in its third round of venture capital, which was led by Symantec.

Founded in 2008, Backupify offers archiving, search and restore services for popular online services including Google Apps, Salesforce, Facebook, Twitter and more.

The company has now raised a total of $19.5 million. Other investors in Backupify include Avalon Ventures, General Catalyst Partners and Lowercase Capital.
