Los Angeles – U.S. iPad owners pay among the highest fees
worldwide for their data services, at an average of $12.50 per gigabyte,
according to an infographic produced by Tableau Software.

Data rates for the
iPad can range as low as $0.51/GB with SingTel in Singapore, and can be had far
cheaper in Germany ($1.09/GB: O2), Japan ($1.12/GB: Softbank) and the U.K.
($2.34/GB: 3) than in the U.S.

Those paying the highest data rates for the iPad include
Orange customers in France ($25.47/GB), and Vodafone and T-Mobile customers in
the Netherlands ($19.59/GB and $19.56/GB, respectively).
