HotCloud Mobile Inc. and Empire Film Group today announced a partnership to create a subscription-based mobile device app. HotCloud Mobile is best known for its FanMaxx platform, and Empire Film Group focuses on modest budget feature films.
“Empire Film Group is a young, innovative company that has identified a lucrative market segment in the entertainment industry,” said David J. Beeden, CEO of HotCloud Mobile. “The talent are well-known actors who have a large fan base, which is perfect for building a brand through social sharing.”
Empire Film’s biggest success so far has been Blonde and Blonder, starring Pamela Anderson and Denise Richards, and the studio is currently in production on a sequel.
Dean Hamilton Bornstein, CEO of Empire Film Group, said the millions of Twitter followers these actors have are evidence that a social app is a viable financial opportunity.
“We are excited to work with HotCloud on development of a mobile app that we can use to continue building our brand,” he said. “Monetization of our films through social sharing will be a tremendous value-add.”
HotCloud is set to release its FanMaxx celebrity-targeted social application for smartphones in the near future and is seeking additional content partners. To date the company has released products intended to increase its customer’s number of Facebook and Twitter followers.
