Columbia, Md. – Looking to expand its capabilities in digital marketing, Columbia, Md.-based Merkle, a provider of customer relationship marketing services, said on Wednesday it has acquired New York-based Social Amp, a developer of Facebook tools that let marketers create personalized social experiences on their own websites.
Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
David Williams, the chairman and CEO of Merkle, said the acquisition “will present our clients with new insights into how social behaviors influence the consumer decision-making process on websites.”
Social Amp clients include Forbes, 1-800-Flowers, Levi’s and Estee Lauder. The company will become part of Merkle Connect, the firm’s social CRM agency.
