New York
– Yahoo (NASD:  YHOO) and Nokia (NYSE:  NOK) on Monday announced a worldwide partnership that will see
Nokia become the exclusive provider of Yahoo’s maps and navigation services,
while Yahoo will power Nokia’s mail and chat services. The companies plan to
begin launching co-branded service offerings in the second half of 2010, with
global availability expected in 2011.

Maps on Yahoo’s services will become
"Ovi Maps," while Nokia’s Ovi Mail and Ovi Chat services will become
"powered by Yahoo."

The companies also said they plan to work on ID
federation between their services, beginning with the ability to use Ovi user
IDs across select Yahoo properties.
