Mountain View, Calif. – Social games
publisher Playdom announced on Tuesday that it has raised $33 million in new
venture capital financing.

New investors Bessemer Venture Partners, Steamboat
Ventures and New World Ventures contributed the new funds, which brings the
company’s total amount raised to date to $76 million.

Mountain
View, Calif.-based Playdom’s games on Facebook and MySpace,
including "Social City," "Sorority Life,"
"Mobsters" and "Tiki Resort," count over 130 million
installations to date.
