San Francisco – Online video advertising firm VideoEgg will
acquire Six Apart, the blogging software provider behind MoveableType and
TypePad, according to published reports.

Financial terms of the deal, expected
to be formally announced tomorrow, were not disclosed in the reports.

The
combined company will be known as Say Media, and reach 345 million unique
visitors worldwide, TechCrunch reports.

Six Apart was founded in 2001, and has
raised over $22 million in funding to date, from backers including August
Capital, Focus Ventures and Intel.

Six Apart CEO Chris Alden is expected to
step down, with Say Media to be run by VideoEgg CEO Matt Sanchez.
