New York – Rupert Murdoch’s News Corp. (NYSE: NWS) plans to launch a new
online publication exclusive to the iPad and other tablet computers, called
"The Daily," which is expected to launch in beta next month, WWD.com
reports.

Some 100 staffers are being hired out of New York for the daily
publishing venture, which has already signed on former New York Post, New York
Times and ABC News journalists.

The Daily is expected to cost 99 cents a week,
or about $4.25 per month, when it launches wide in early 2011.
