New York – Bookseller Barnes & Noble (NYSE: BKS) said on Monday that
the company saw its largest retail sales day in its nearly 40-year history on
Dec. 23, and that comparable store sales were 9.7% for the nine-week period
ending Jan. 1, 2011. The company noted that its Nook e-book reader device was a
key sales driver during the period.
