Las Vegas – Motorola (NYSE: MOT) on Thursday introduced a new tablet
computer, the Motorola Xoom, which will run Google’s Android 3.0 Honeycomb —
designed from the ground up for use on tablets. The Xoom sports a 10.1-inch
widescreen HD display, dual cameras, and support for Wi-Fi, 3G and partner
Verizon’s 4G LTE network. The Xoom is slated for release in the first quarter,
with the 4G version coming in the second quarter.
