Boston – BzzAgent, a provider of word-of-mouth marketing services, has agreed to be acquired by dunnhumby, a London-based provider of brand marketing services for consumer goods and retail companies.
Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Founded in 2001, Boston-based BzzAgent enlists “agents” to generate awareness for consumer goods and services among their peers.
The company’s network of 800,000 consumers helps its clients create word-of-mouth endorsements of its products.
Clients include Procter & Gamble, Unilever, L’Oreal and Michelin.
