Redmond, Wash. – Mobile games distributor WildTangent announced on Wednesday that it has partnered with carrier T-Mobile USA to launch and Android games service that will offer mobile game rentals for about 25 cents a day.

Set for launch later this year, the service will allow T-Mobile customers with Android smartphones and tablets to play free, ad-based games, or rent titles for about 25 cents per day using WildTangent’s virtual coins currency.

Rental fees are then applied to any resulting mobile game purchases.

T-Mobile will promote the service to its subscribers, and embed it on new Android devices.
