Recent moves in the executive world include companies like Atari, C7, Fishbowl Worldwide Media, InMage, Leapfrog Enterprises, the RIAA, Rokkan, RCA Music Group, the Recording Industry Association of America, SAY Media, Slingshot SEO, TAG Strategic, Tessera Technologies and YouWeb.

Atari, a leading multi-platform, global interactive entertainment and licensing company, has strengthened its senior management team with the appointments of Robert Mattes as chief financial officer, Owais Farooqui as senior vice president, Digital Publishing, and Maria Pacheco as vice president, Mobile.

C7 Data Centers appointed Wes Swenson, who has been the colocation and IT infrastructure provider’s president, to the position CEO. Swenson is assuming the operational duties of Nate Hatch, who has been appointed to the position of executive chairman.

FishBowl Worldwide Media brought on Steve Wadsworth, former president of Disney Interactive Media, as a digital advisor to the company. Fishbowl is a next generation studio creating entertainment content for distribution across multiple platforms that was founded by chairman Vin Di Bona and president and CEO Bruce Gersh.

InMage, a leading independent software vendor of disk-based, business application recovery solutions and cloud computing solutions, today announced the appointment of tech veteran Kumar Malavalli as CEO.

LeapFrog Enterprises, a developer of technology-based educational platforms, content and toys for children, named Randy Rissman to its board of directors. Rissman served as the CEO of Tiger Electronics from 1978-1998, and is currently managing director of Leo Capital Holdings.

Opanga Networks, an innovator of pragmatic mobile video optimization solutions that substantially improve wireless network utilization, announced that Bob Wise has been appointed as senior vice president of Business Development to lead the global sales effort for the company’s NetRover efficient content distribution technology platform.

Doug Morris, CEO, Sony Music Entertainment, announced that RCA Music Group appointed Peter Edge to the position of CEO, and that Tom Corson has been named president & chief operating officer. The group’s labels are RCA, Jive, J, and Arista, as well as their affiliate labels. Edge was formerly president, A&R, RCA Music Group, in which role he was key to the successful careers of Alicia Keys, Dido, Mario, Jamie Foxx, Pitbull, Mike Posner and others. Corson most recently held the position of executive vice president/general manager, RCA Music Group, where he worked closely with artists like Kings of Leon, Rod Stewart, Ke$ha, Foo Fighters, Kelly Clarkson, Pitbull and Jennifer Hudson.

The Board of Directors for the Recording Industry Association of America has named Cary Sherman as RIAA chairman & CEO. He succeeds Mitch Bainwol, who has resigned his position to become CEO of the Alliance of Automobile Manufacturers. Sherman has served as RIAA President since 2001, after joining the organization as General Counsel in 1997. Additionally, Mitch Glazier, who began his career in public policy as copyright counsel to House Judiciary Committee Chairman Henry Hyde (R-Ill.), and has spent the last 11 years at RIAA in charge of the organization’s government relations activities, has been appointed senior executive vice president, in whuch role he will continue to lead the RIAA’s activities on Capitol Hill and assume broader responsibilities as well.

Rokkan, a full-service interactive agency that builds businesses through integrated digital solutions, has added Sav Banerjee as executive strategy director, in which position he will develop and execute innovative digital strategies for clients which include Stoli Vodka, Chipotle Mexican Grill, Google, THQ and 2K Games. He most recently worked with SapientNitro, Big Fuel Communications and M80.

SAY Media, a San Francisco-based provider of publishing technology and media services to independent content creators, named Samuel Parker as its chief operating officer. Parker, the former senior vice president of operations at CBS Interactive, will manage the teams behind brands like Remodelista, Sideshow and Dogster.

TAG Strategic announced that Jeff Becker has joined TAG as vice president Social Media and Brand Marketing, where he will focus on marketing initiatives for TAG’s consumer brand clients. He founded two online marketing departments for Universal Music Group / MCA Records and developed the blueprint for social marketing that is still used at Live Nation and Taylor Guitars.

Tessera Technologies, a developer of miniaturization technologies for wireless and computing products, has named Tony Tether to its board of directors. Tether is CEO of The Sequoia Group, and previously served as director of the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA).

YouWeb, the social incubator behind OpenFeint, CrowdStar, Sibblingz and iSWiFTER, hired Michelle Yee Sangster as senior vice president of business development. Sangster previously was vice president of business development at Walmart, where she was responsible for @WalmartLabs’ partnerships in social media, in addition to holding senior level business development positions at both Amazon and Yahoo.
