San Francisco – Freestyle Capital, a San Francisco-based early-stage investment firm founded by Internet entrepreneurs Josh Felser and Dave Samuel, said on Wednesday it has led a new $1.7 million round of seed funding for GoInstant, a Canadian developer of web sharing technology.

The company this week unveiled its shared web-browsing technology at the TechCrunch Disrupt conference in San Francisco. The technology is designed to let customers, business partners and colleagues join online sessions together, browse the web and interact as if seated side-by-side.

Other investors in the round included Baseline Ventures; Greylock Partners; Social Leverage; Chamath Palihapitiya, founder of The Social+Capital Partnership; Yuri Milner, the CEO of Digital Sky Technologies; and Ed Sim, founding member of Dawntreader Ventures.
