Mobile local search and advertising company Poynt Corp. announced several changes to its executive suite, including Yves Millette appointed president and Craig Bentham was named chairman of the board of directors.

Millette previously served as president and chief executive officer of Intuit Canada; its parent company is known for products including QuickBooks, Quicken and TurboTax. Adding him to the executive team will allow chief executive officer Andrew Osis to focus on expanding the company and representing its the key vision and strategy to global investors and partners.

Bentham is a lawyer specializing in financing and commercial transactions who most recently was director of Corporate Development for Pinnacle Private Capital Corp.

In addition, Lawrence Lee has been named chief financial officer. Other appointments on the financial side include Marco Hunstad joining Poynt Corp. to direct the Business Development team as senior vice president, Business Development and Global Distribution, and Cassy Weber being promoted to the position of senior vice president, Monetization.

Margaret Glover-Campbell and Jeff Davison were both promoted. Glover-Campbell is now senior vice president, Marketing and External Communications. Davison is vice president, Marketing and Communications, in which role he is responsible for Poynt’s newly formed Investor Relations group.

Other promotions include Brad Murray to the role of senior vice president, Technology, and Wilco Oudijk to vice president, Product Management.

“The changes to management reflect our immense growth and the need to expand our team to maintain that growth,” Osis said. “I have always emphasized the need for a strong, creative and effective team. I am confident that the team we have assembled both through internal promotions and external searches will allow Poynt Corp. to continue to grow our revenue stream.”

Poynt is available as a free download for users in India, Canada, the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany, France, Italy, Spain and Australia on Android, iPhone, Windows Phone and Nokia devices, BlackBerry smartphones and BlackBerry Playbook tablet.
