Big Fish Games Inc. announced that Wibe Wagemans has joined the casual game company as vice president, general manager, Mobile. In this role Wagemans will head up and accelerate Big Fish’s further expansion into mobile.

Wagemans 17-year career includes having been senior vice president of global brand advertising for Rovio, home of the Angry Birds cultural phenomenon, and Microsoft’s former global head of marketing of Bing for mobile.

Big Fish already has exclusive mobile publishing agreements with more than 150 development partners, covering over 500 games. So far Big Fish has launched 237 iOS games, 90 percent of which were released within the past 12 months.

“Wibe is a data-driven brand steward who understands the distinct needs of mobile consumers and how to scale a growing portfolio of first and third-party content to mobile fans worldwide. With the addition of Wibe, we add another tremendously skilled member to our team,” said Jeremy Lewis, chief executive officer and president of Big Fish.

Mobile developers publishing through Big include Alawar Entertainment, Artogon, Boomzap, cerasus.media GmbH, Elephant Games, ERS Game Studios, Frogwares, Gogii Games, Pixelstorm, Youda Games and more.

Big Fish’s websites, games, and customer service are available in ten languages – Danish, Dutch, English, German, French, Italian, Japanese, Brazilian Portuguese, Spanish and Swedish – and its games are sold in more than 150 countries. The company is headquartered in Seattle, Wash., with regional offices in Vancouver, Canada, Cork, Ireland, and Luxembourg.
