Miami – Mentez, a publisher of social games for the Latin
American market, announced on Tuesday that it has raised an undisclosed amount
of venture capital financing from Insight Venture Partners.
Founded in 2007,
Brazil-based Mentez has to date launched over 20 games on Google’s Orkut social
network, and is publishing seven additional titles on Facebook.
The company
also runs an online alternative payments network in Brazil called Paymentez,
which is currently processing more than 45,000 transactions daily.
