Santa Clara, Calif. – InLab Ventures on Tuesday introduced
its "Venture Capital 3.0" business model, which it is currently using
to deploy capital from its $6 million Founders’ Fund.

The company said its
Venture Capital 3.0 model eliminates annual management fees; uses "a
proven lab-based, scientific process and methodology for selecting and building
winning companies"; includes greater involvement with portfolio companies;
and leverages new financial models for predicting investment success.

InLab
said that to date some 30 companies have been through its due diligence
processes, and its current portfolio consists of nine companies.

The firm added
that two of these companies "are within 12 months of large liquidity
events and two others are profitable early-stage businesses with exit horizons
in 2-3 years."
