Seattle – Facebook has acquired Rel8tion, a nine-month-old
start-up developing a hyperlocal mobile advertising service, All Things D
reported.
Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
"We’re
excited to confirm that we recently completed a talent acquisition of Rel8tion,
a stealth-mode startup in Seattle. The engineering team will join our growing
Seattle office, and we’re looking forward to having them on board,"
Facebook said in a statement.
Seattle-based Rel8tion was co-founded by Peter
Wilson, who is also helping Facebook launch its Seattle office.
