Live and interactive video streaming platform Ustream announced an additional $6 million investment from existing investors DCM and Softbank, along with changes in the executive team that chief executive officer and founder John Ham stepping aside.

Urban Airship announced Sunday (Nov. 6) that it has raised $15.1 million in Series C funding from strategic investors salesforce.com and Verizon as well as existing investors Foundry Group and True Ventures, brings the mobile infrastructure and apps company’s total funding to $21.6 million.

Modo Labs, a Cambridge-based provider of open-source content delivery technology for mobile platforms and devices, announced on Tuesday it has raised $4 million in a venture capital deal with Storm Ventures and New Magellan Ventures.

Smule, a Palo Alto-based developer of mobile music apps and games, said it has raised $12 million in a new round of funding, led by Shasta Ventures. Granite Ventures and Bessemer Ventures also participated in the round, which the company will use to accelerate growth.
