San Francisco
– MyLikes, the San Francisco-based developer of a word-of-mouth advertising
platform, said that it has secured $630,000 in seed funding from 11 ex-Google
employees who were former colleagues of MyLikes founders Bindu Reddy and Arvind
Sundararajan.

Reddy was the former head of product management for Google Apps
and Sundararajan was the former tech lead for Google’s AdSense.

MyLikes
publicly launched in January, and currently boasts a community of more than
60,000 users, as well as more than 170 advertisers.

The company recruits
bloggers, Twitterers and other social media publishers to promote brands and
products they genuinely like, through endorsements written in their own words.
They then earn money with every click.
