San Bruno, Calif. – Google’s (NASD: GOOG) YouTube has launched
"Personalized Channels," a new feature that can create a playlist of
related videos based on past viewing choices on YouTube, and typing in a topic
such as "cooking." The company says that a user’s personalized
channels will adjust themselves based on interaction with the videos served,
and get better the more a user interacts with them. Separately, YouTube on Thursday
introduced TrueView Video Ads, which will give viewers a modicum of control
over the types of ads they see against videos on the site.
